Photo for WVNCC Alert: The Weirton Campus will reopen tomorrow. Please click now to read more.

I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding as we continue to address the water challenges affecting our Weirton Campus. These challenges have impacted many areas in the City of Weirton, including our campus. We continue to work closely with the Water Department for updates on this situation.  They now anticipate that these water challenges may persist for the foreseeable future.

Our goal remains to reopen the Weirton Campus as soon as possible, so temporary restroom facilities and bottled water were delivered to the Weirton campus today.  The campus will reopen tomorrow morning on the regular schedule.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Temporary Facilities: High quality, temporary restrooms have been placed on campus.
  • Bottled Water: We will provide bottled water for all students and employees.
  • Reopening Date: The Weirton Campus will reopen on Wednesday, January 29.

For Students:  On-campus classes will resume on Wednesday, January 29.

For Employees:  Please plan to return to campus for work on Wednesday, January 29.

A special thank you to Tina Edwards, Koz, our Facilities team, and everyone who worked tirelessly to implement these solutions and bring us closer to returning to “normal” operations. If you have any questions:

Students: Please contact your instructors.
Employees: Please contact your supervisors.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Dr. Mosser
WVNCC President

We look forward to seeing you!
