Mission Statement

The Liberal Arts, Communications, and Social Sciences Division mission is dedicated to a quality education that is learner focused.   We prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution or to directly enter the workforce.

Further, the division empowers students to deepen their critical thinking skills while fostering creativity and personal awareness. These characteristics will be valuable for success in our regional and global workplaces.  Our faculty and classrooms provide students with a participatory environment which encourages intellectual growth and self-awareness, building a foundation for lifelong learning.
