WV Higher Education Almanac
The West Virginia Higher Education Almanac provides year-end higher education statistics for both of the state’s higher education systems, the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission (Commission) and West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education (Council).
The newest edition of the WV HEPC Almanac 2021 provides high-level summary statistics for each institution, with a focus on the 2020-2021 academic year.
Detailed historical data are available through the new interactive WV HE Data Portal Explorer. This new data portal provides the most current data available for every institution within both the two- and four-year systems. The data are updated throughout the year as they become available.

When reviewing the statistics in this report, it is important to carefully consider the data definitions for each metric. This is particularly important when it comes to the cohort, or group of students, of which the statistic is reflective. For example, there are fundamental differences between “full-time” and “part-time” students that can have a drastic effect on the reported data.
