CANDIDATE PROFILE FOR TABLE GAMES DEALER
Dealers must possess the ability to deal multiple games and variations of those games. Manual dexterity, color perception and the ability to stand 100% of the time is expected. Basic math skills are important in the Dealer position especially when dealing Craps and Roulette. Quick recall and the ability to calculate without aid is of the utmost importance.
Exceptional guest service skills and the ability to deal with difficult guests is a vital skill when dealing. Excellent verbal communication skills are a must with the Dealer position. Dealers must be able to quickly judge their audience and adjust their interaction appropriately. An outgoing personality is key to this position as Dealers are part of the entertainment in the facility, not just a body dealing cards. Professional attitude and appearance is equally important in the Dealer position, clothes must be clean and wrinkle free with shirts tucked in and a belt worn. Personal grooming is very important as well and must meet established Company standards.
The minimum age requirement for a Dealer is 21. All Dealers must be flexible when scheduling and available to work all shifts including holidays, nights and weekend hours as business needs dictate. High School diploma or GED is acceptable for the Dealer position. All Dealers must be able to pass an audition/interview and pre-employment testing prior to employment.
The Dealer position also requires the ability to secure a WV Racing and WV Gaming License upon hire and maintain that license every year of employment. The Dealer position requires working in an atmosphere with second-hand smoke and higher than normal noise levels.
